Glasgow Mela

A vibrant outdoor one-day festival, the Glasgow Mela is a glorious celebration of the city’s richly diverse communities which provides an outstanding opportunity for everyone to come together and enjoy our shared cultures. Held in Kelvingrove Park on June 24 2018, the Glasgow Mela regularly attracts up to 40,000 people with its incredible mix of music, dance, performances and food and market stalls. The Glasgow Mela was first staged in 1990 and has grown to become a key feature of the city’s cultural calendar. It has to be experienced to fully appreciate its exceptional quality, huge scale and outstanding family entertainment.
